Sequence [Dec. 26th, 2010|02:14 pm]
I've been tossing around an idea for this kinda space comic. I was hoping to get some feedback if anyone cared. Specifically on the storytelling and colors. But anything that helps.

I put it all behind a cut because the images are ballbustingly large for livejournal and people will ahte me for breaking their style. But please take a look if you like comics at all, I really need crits on this.

This little blue card thing is very important to the story. Like, the entire plot revolves around these cards, so I wanted to make sure to illustrate clearly how they work. Hence the reason I dedicate an entire page to this dude basically pushing a button.

I'm currently reworking page 3, a lot of people seem to have trouble telling what is going on, so I gotta get that fixed. Any advice would be loved though, thanks again.

Also, here is a ref for the alien and how it compares to humans. I wanted them to be more lanky, kinda hunched backed, or arch backed I guess. Like they're shrugging all the time.

Huh! That's interesting, definitely, and I'd like to see where it's going. I had no problems following what was going on (although I'll grant you that I'm very accustomed to the comic format).

As for suggestions, etc.: it seems to me that this comic is aiming for a slightly grungy look. You might try dirtying up that cityscape a bit further? Right now the colors are limited and muted, but fairly 'clean'. Something like a faint sooty or smoky overlay might suit the graphics in general. ... I hope that makes sense.

Hey, good ideas! Thanks so much! When I get all the changes made I'll repost them. ^_^ It means a lot to me that you took the time to scope them out. :D
